Dental Sealants
Dental sealants provide protection to permanent molars (and sometimes pre-molars) by bonding composite resin intoocculusal grooves. The sealant provides a smooth surface that allows dental plaque and sugary foods to be removed easily. We generally place these sealants when your child’s molars first erupt. This is usually around the ages of 6-7 for first molars and 11-13 for second molars.
